What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Romans 3:9-20
When we look at the scriptures today it’s letting us know, there is no difference between a Jew or a gentile. How is that made possible, for we all have sinned, which don’t make us better than the other.
Paul was letting them at Rome and for us today is there is none righteous. We are under sin but we don’t have to obey the lust and cravy thereof. Paul was also reminding us what life was like before the flood.
First, they turned their backs on God. They didn’t seek God as he attended them to do. Second they all became worthless in the sight of God. Many in our world today is the same way. They don’t seek God and therefore God still loves them but yet he consider them worthless in his sight.
Paul continued letting them know, what is the condition of a person who is a wicked and a sinner. The practice they do and the things they say aren’t from God, but the unrighteousness that is in their heart.
As you read the above text, it tells us the reason why the law was given. It was given to expose the unrighteous work. How are me counted righteous it’s not in the law that Moses was given but in the blood of Jesus Christ. Knowing him as our personal savior and seeking God is all God desires from us. To live a holy life acceptable and pleasing to God.
The law came to make us aware of sin, but we who are believers in Christ we have this new hope. A hope of deliverance and change for the better. We need faith to keep us strong, because the enemy wants us to fail. Therefore as a believer in Jesus Christ our focus is not to continue in the practice of sin, but to do what will please God.
Is you life fill with those things Paul listed in the scriptures? Do you know at this moment and time you can be set free of unrighteousness in your life. Remember all have sinned, but all has the right to become a part of God’s family. The fate is in your hands to receive Jesus Christ
Just confess, and belief in the thing of Jesus Christ, the savior and Lord over ones life.
