What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, And mightest overcome when thou art judged. But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
Romans 3:1-8 KJV
When we read the above text it seems to be somewhat confusing to the believers and also to the non believers. What Paul was telling the people at Rome was even the righteous people sin. Paul in the first few verses how are you counted righteous if you don’t obey the commands of God. Paul was also address the way the Jews applied the law. Some held on to the custom as circumcision, yet not held on to the law given to Moses. What is the truth in that. How can you practice one law, but not do the other?
Paul wanted to clear this matter up. Could a person who is a believer, continue to sin. The means don’t justified each other. Its up to the believers in Christ to obey God’s principles and understand his righteousness.
One verse says. What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”
Romans 3:3-4 NIV
The truth in looking in the rightful thinking is God sees and knows all. He see the heart of man. God is our judge and law giver. God being the judge when we do the right things our words will speak for us. The life we live by and our actions within God, it will one day be prevail when we are judge by God. He is the one that will count us righteous in him
Sone believers has been left behind the eight ball. Meaning they have the word but not appling it in their daily walk. While others who are very true believers cross every t and dot every I, when it comes to following Jesus Christ. Yet both sets of people will sin, but how they go about confessing is another story.
The true test for all believers in Jesus Christ is how will you prevail within your judgement. What will be your reward after you are judge by God.? This is all up to the individual and how they was proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and doing what God required of them.
Finally, it’s up tho those who are believers in Christ to know the difference in sinning, and continue to sin. We may do things knowing or unknowingly in the sight of God. We can pray and ask God to forgive us. What if we continue to do the same sin, over and over again. Is that justifiable. Not at all. We making God to look like a liar because when a person comes to Christ, the old things should be done away with. We can’t go on sinning and knowing it’s a sin one we believers in Christ.
Tomorrow is about God’s plan for all humans and loving on God.
