We are looking at the next two gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are almost on the same line. Both healing and miracles are things we can see within a person. God will gift a person to such works. How are these gifts used in worship service today. What is the nature behind healing and miracles.
When we think of the gift of healing, our first thought is of a minister laying hands on a person and they are healed. This also can be God using people for the working of miracles. I do think most people get these two thing wrong at times.
We define miracles as, surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency. We define healing as the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again.
Both are Devine act of God. Today let’s take time out to think about the truth of matter. A doctor could have a gift to heal a person but it’s by faith that a person is healed. To look at both together it’s only by the miracles of God we are healed in a spiritual since. Healing is a process of making one healthy again. How do make a sinful person healthy? We do this by telling them of the healing power of God. This was done by Jesus death on the cross. When I think of the nature of these two gifts, it’s not the physical world, but more of the spiritual since. When we see the working of miracles it the act of God being performed.
I really don’t have the total understanding of them both but one thing I do know is this. The working of miracles is what Jesus did in his life. He did so much for people as they received their miracles. This gift of working of miracles God place on people through the Holy Spirit is that of great power. It’s is an unexplainable gift, when it is performed people will notice only God could have done it. The working of miracles people perform because it’s God ordained and spirit goes forth. Those that receive the gift of healing it’s little different but on the same level. Miracles and healing are evidence that God has done or doing something in a person’s life. The gift of healing is given to people not just on a physical basic but a spiritual on as well. Healing of the heart mind soul and body. Moving from darkness to light. It’s a process of getting into a place a person need to before the Lord
Unlike the miracles that happens quickly. The healing process can be instant or over a length of time. The evidence is sure and real in both situations. Those who have this two gifts need to use them wisely and not for gain. Those gifts are used in the operation of the church. Will help others to see who God is and what he has done for us.
More study need to be done on these two gift. To understand them better. In the near future it will be done. Until then have a wonderful day.
