Our spiritual gifts words of wisdom and knowledge. Gift of faith

The other day we started a teaching series on spiritual gifts. These spiritual gifts are given to the believers, for the edifying of the body of Christ. When the body of Christ (believers in Christ) are edified than God is given the glory.

The first three spiritual gifts are 1st. Is Word of wisdom. 2nd is word of Knowledge. 3rd gift of faith. We talked about these things, but do we understand the meaning of them.

Words of wisdom. When we think about the words of wisdom, we can relate it to someone who is wise. Who has this gift of wisdom? As we grow in God, learning his truth, we will gain wisdom. Wisdom will help others, to see the power of God that works. It’s a gift God gives to people, so others will know the fact of the matter. King Solomon was a man of great wisdom. God gave him the understanding of things in life. The book of Proverbs instructs people to gain wisdom. By having wisdom, people can make the proper decision. When a person had the gift of wisdom they will instruct, guide, lead a person down the right pathway for God. I do believe, spiritual wisdom comes, from a person who have come through things. Because they have come through things this makes them wise over a given area of their lives. In other words a person who never been married, has no concept of marriage. Therefore he or she might not be able to give words of wisdom to a married couple. The Holy Spirit give each person wisdom for a given purpose and plan. Therefore gift of wisdom, can be operated in the right time, and space for the body of Christ.

Word of knowledge, could be given to a person to teach. All people are not called to teach. We can use our gift to give people a word of knowledge. We who have this gifts is more into teaching than anything. When we think about knowledge, we also think about wisdom. In other words words of knowledge and wisdom goes into the same category. Knowledge is like this. You may know how to cook, the wisdom comes in when to cook at the right time. We gain the knowledge by reading and doing. The gift of knowledge comes to us through the Holy Spirit. We gain access to God’s truth over the years, and that knowledge will help others along the way. By this gift, builds the body of Christ up, by giving them information they need to live a life of holiness unto God. Through the Holy Spirit the knowledge comes in, knowing what to say, or do at the right time and space. God moves on people for a reason. A person might read a scripture in church. Unknowingly to that person, that same scripture is part of the minister sermon. This is a part of knowing or having the knowledge when to read the proper scripture. When this happens it encourage the body of Christ to continue on.

Faith, says a lot. How does it fit into this category. In order for us to gain wisdom and knowledge, faith in God comes into place. Faith glues it all together. We who are part of God’s family, we all have faith in what God can do. When the gift of faith comes into place it’s gives a person, the foundation of our life in God. This gift of faith given to others to help the body of Christ to establish their faith better. What we see here within our gifting each person receive it to edify the church. Without a person to exercise their faith according to what is given to them, than the body of Christ will suffer. Our spiritual gifts is given to the believers in Christ, to set in order unity among the saints. The unity that is within the body. Faith plays a key roll in our belief in God. Some people may have a stronger faith in God than other. Yet we are all a part of God’s family. The measure of faith will depend on the person, yet the gifting of faith for the body of Christ will be given upon a person by the Holy Spirit for the edifying of the saints to do God’s word.

The final thought on this is the gift of faith, word of wisdom, and the word of knowledge are gift given to the body of Christ for such good work, with according to their measure of faith. Words of wisdom and knowledge goes hand in hand. Remember all of these things are gifts through the holy Spirit. Are you will to activate your gifting that is upon you. It’s all up to you. Remember by delaying the gift you might be hindering others to grow in their faith.
