To receive from means to

Yesterday we talked about receiving from God. One must empty themselves out, inorder for God to use them totally. We see this process all throughout the Bible. One thing is clear, God has chosen people since the Garden of Eden, but are we willing to listen to his powerful spirit that is speaking to us today in many ways

To receive from God one needs to listen to what he is saying. How to we listen when the spirit of God is speaking. There are many ways we can listen and receive from God, but today we are going to talk about the top 3. First one is meditate on the word. 2. Spend time with God in his presence. 3. Know his voice, vision and power

You might wonder can a non-believer receive from God. The answer is yes. When a person is born he is born into sin. Over time he will hear the word of God in many ways, but if people don’t allow God to touch their life, they can’t be saved, nothing God can do. God don’t force himself on people he gives them the choice to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. God has chosen us to live for him in a special way. For us to live for him, one needs to be a willing vessel of God to do such wonderful things in Jesus Christ.

This is an old scripture, Joshua 1:8-10 tells us how to have great success. From these verses is our response to God. Meditate on the word day and night. The result is you will be prosperous and successful. When I first read this I saw it from a natural since. As I moved out I saw it from a spiritual side. Prosperous and successful in the sight of God. You may not have it all, but as we pour out, God pours into us his words. we than can be prosperous and successful in his spirit and in his ways. The keys of receiving from God is having a pure heart in him, by being willing to do just what he said. Saul/Paul, Jesus told him he will be prosecuted for the cause of proclaiming the word of Jesus Christ. He received from Jesus and went ahead and did as Jesus said. As we meditate on the word receive God’s truth it will help us to see how we are suppose to receive from God.

Second truth is spend time with God. When we meditate on the word, we get the chance to understand the characteristics of God. This living and loving God want us to receive from him both spiritually and physically. How do we go about this. First start by having a personal relationship with God. Just like we need to meditate on the word. We need to come before God’s presence to receive from him. Many people God approached them, because of their faith in him. God saw things in us, that we didn’t know. God wants us to receive it. The most wonderful thing we could do is come into his presence. Most do this only once a week, but God wants us to spend time with him everyday. By doing that will understand how to receive from him. Setting aside a given time each day in prayer, fasting , and getting into a place in your house, to spend time with God. To some God gives a word to say. After they said it than God refill them

Like yesterday one needs to empty himself out to God. Getting into his presence, it does something to us. We will never be the same as we rest and bathe in him. People won’t be the same after they been in God’s presence. All within the Bible it people lives changed because of God. How did God use them? The people needed to be empty and to be use as a vessel for God. As we continue to get into his presence he will pour into us. One thing to learn as he pour into us we also need to learn to pour out. Pouring out also gives us the power to release and give to others. We can receive from God, by spending time with him, and listening to him, as we talk with God during our daily time with him. To sum up this part is receiving from God required spending time with him, getting into the presence of God.

3rd point or truth is knowing it’s God speaking to us. How do we know it’s God’s voice, or the dreams we having is coming from God or other sources. To understand this we see two factors coming into place. It’s all about knowing the spirit that is speaking to us. As we listening are we writing it down. The children knows their parents voices . So should we know when it’s God speaking, or the enemy trying to put us on the wrong track. If you look at people in the old testament God spoke to many from audible voice, or through different means necessary. Many got visions or dreams of an angel bringing forth good news. God gives us the spirit of knowing it’s him or not. As the dog comes to it’s master as he called his name so it like that of God. It’s the voice we recognize. We will know God voice because we been in the word and his presence. God brings people hope and warns people of danger to come. We whom God’s speak to knows it’s him because our spirit connects to what God is saying. The enemy do come in and wispher in our ear and his message is only to confuse us and take us down the wrong pathway.

When God speaks like I said mostly to encourage us to move forward. Secondly he gives us warning off things yet to come. We know it’s God because we feel it and know it by faith. We know it just because. Can’t explain it but we just know.

Today reflection is this to clearly understand that it’s God speaking to us is by meditation on God’s word. It will provide for us to be prosperous and successful in the things of God. As we do so spend time with God. Get into his presence and let him you and tell him all about our situation. As we empty out God fills us back up. We receive from him and continue to let God be your heavenly Father. As we spend time with God we will know his voice. Yet time will come when enemy try to deceive us but as we have a listening ear we understand who is speaking to us.

When we come tomorrow we will look into Jeremiah 1:4-10. Looking at what God said, Jeremiah responds, and God’s plan for Jeremiah.
