When two worlds collide

We know the account of Rahab from the book of Joshua. Did you know there is more to her story that effects our lives today.

Rahab a from the land of Canaan, who was also an innkeeper at her time in Jericho. Her life didn’t end at Jericho but you can say it just began there. When she help the two spies from the tribe of Judah, she didn’t kn her entire life will turned upside down

When the walls came down and the battle of Jericho had ended Judah sent in the spies to get Rahab and her family.

Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, “Go into the prostitute’s house and bring her out and all who belong to her, in accordance with your oath to her.” So the young men who had done the spying went in and brought out Rahab, her father and mother, her brothers and sisters and all who belonged to her. They brought out her entire family and put them in a place outside the camp of Israel. But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.
Joshua 6:22‭-‬23‭, ‬25 NIV

Now that Rahab and her family is among the Israelites now what. You know this is not the end of Rahab story. It was the beginning of life for her and the people in the tribe of Judah. Now imagine this she lived among the Israelites even thought she was a Canaanite. This didn’t matter to them because I do believe she has witness and see the power of God move. She believed in the great I am. The almighty God who been with the people of Israel for a long period of time.

According to Matthew chapter 1 Rahab is in the blood line of Jesus. She is the mother of Boaz. Boaz was the father of Obed. Obed had a son by the name of Jesse. Jesse had a son by the David. As we know David later became a king. From this line Jesus was born.

So you see, God had everything planned out accordingly. Rahab was part of God’s plan from the get go.

We never know what God has planned for us. We can’t see the big picture, but we can always ask God to revile his plan to us. We might follow his plan to the letter. Once we listen and obey God than his plan and purpose for our lives will be made known to us.

Stay in the course and believe and receive all God has for you. One day your world might collide with someone else and like that God has someone for you
