You might say JESUS the holy one and a prostitute in his bloodline. I that Jesus Christ was perfect. Jesus was perfect person. In Matthew chapter 1 it tells us of this lady made Rahab. Why here because she played an important part of the bloodline to Jesus.
Rahab was first introduce in Joshua chapter 2. She help to the spies not to be captured. Today is just the introduction of Rahab.
Here house was built in the walls of Jericho. It was where people would spend the night as they traveled. She also was a seamstress. She kept flanks, to dry up to make clothes. Most called her a prostitute. Here is something else about her.
Rahab is from the land of Canaan, yet she allow the spies into her home. She heard about the God of the Isrealites. She might have had some truth of God, but the spies she let into her house was all the proof she need to conform the life of the Isrealites.
Spies went out to see about the land. There was Jericho, a city fortified with high wall so people couldn’t get into it. Yet it didn’t stop the people of God to take control.
I know it was about rahab but if it wasn’t for the way she handle the situation it could have been a different story. The truth of it all God is going to knock some walls down in your life. Those hardship and worries, doubts and fears, trust God he is able to get those things out of your life.
We are going deeper in the life of rahab in looking at the deal she made with the spies.
