Why do we celebrate Christmas throughout the world. Have we lost sight in the truth behind the real reason to celebrate the birth of Jesus. What is the message of hope give on that day of the birth of Jesus.
Many have lost sight in the meaning behind that Christmas stand for. Christmas was introduce back in 336 AD. Therefore it was almost 4 or 5 century after his birth that Christmas recognized as the festival of lights . Some has sad the catholic had Christ mass on the 24th of December. What they did was combine the two words and shorten it to Christmas. One might need to look that up to see if it’s true or not.
Many think the first Christmas was on the day Jesus was born, but the story is so far from the truth. We know first Mary was a virgin. She never had sexual relationship with a man at the time the angel approached Mary. The background of all this is found in Matthew 1 and Luke 1 and 2.
Many events of angel appearing to people in the first few chapters of Matthew and Luke. The angel brought good news to the people of Jesus.
Jesus came to be the Savior of the world. Through him the world would be save. Salvation is only found in Christ. The main purpose of his birth was to announce to all the messiah has come do bring about change within a person life.
Many think this was the first christmas, but it is a reminder to all what God did for the world. By sending his son. Sending his son to redeem the world from their sins. We need Jesus Christ in our life inorder for us to be in a right relationship with God.
The message of the birth of xhrist is all about hope. A hope we can be free from the bondage of sin. The sin of unbelief in knowing who God is. Now that we know who God is we also must believe that Jesus came to save the world from their sins. Sins are act of unrighteousness agaist God. Anything we do that goes agaist God and his word. We ask God to forgive us from the sin we might have done. God will forgive us from that sin. Remember we can’t use our freedom in Christ to continue sin willingly. That is totally wrong.
Remember the meaning of Jesus birth was announcing a Savior was born to bring us hope. Bring us peace, joy and happiness. Those things he give us is both spiritual and natural. One thing is this This season of joy. Spread the good news that a Savior was born. He came to save us all from our sins. We need to believe and recieve this .
