In the words of late Pastor Henry Tarseyah

The ministry in Monrovia Liberia Africa, West Congo. Christ in me prayer ministry with late pastor Henry Tarseyah shared a word of truth years ago.

The word today is patience or being patient. As our sister ministry have been doing the study on Samson I would like to comment on the topic of patience as well.

What the Lord has place on my heart to share is this. What do we need to to be patient. Patient is part of the fruit of the spirit. In other words long-suffering deal on the same line as being patient or having patience. We can say in most of our lives we don’t have that much patience. People just snap on the spare of the moment when confronted with any situation that could be bad or good.

King David, a man who was after God’s own heart, didn’t have patience when it came to Bathsheba. He desired her and because of the situation that happened after, he was denied by God not to build the temple. It was because of that, God stopped him from building the temple.

Moses, a man of great value to God to led the children of Israel out of Egypt. One thing about Moses he had a short temper. One that cause him not to go into the promise Land. He lost his temper or patience with the children of Israel as he came down off Mount Sinai. He also lost his temper when he struck the rock and water came out of it. We need to have patience and self-control when it comes to serving God. As in the ministry we deal with all type of people. We must learn how to have patience with them. God gives us patience just ask him to help us to be patient with others as we go and do things for him.

And also Naomi lost her family because she was not patient minded. When God pronounced hunger in Isreal, she took her family to Moab, where God told her not to go. When it comes to doing God instructions we have to have a well-balanced mind. We need to be patient and let God guide and lead us. Not putting things in the way of what God is doing.

Samson was not patient. He allow his own desire to get in the way. With his wife and Delilah they both tricked him. His wife tricked him to give up the answer to the riddle. Delilah tricked him in giving up the secret to his strength. What they did to Samson because he now didn’t have the strength was outrageous. At the end Samson was able to take out many of Philistines. More than he ever did before. It not how or when but if you keep the faith and trust in God, he will help you in every situation. Samson died, but could he have done more within his life to help Israel from the Philistines. We will never know. For now we must have patience in all we do and say when it comes with living for God. Therefore if we are not patient, we will not trust God or wait for his own appointed time to come in our life and miss our blessing.
