Today is the final chapter in walking in your authority over the enemy. Over the last few days we been dealing with the armour of God. We was saying how each part of the armour plays an important part in our spiritual life.
Now that we know about our spiritual armour how are we going to use it over the forces of darkness given the authority we have in Christ.
We have said before Jesus has all power and authority in heaven and in earth. What authority do we have since we are in Christ and how do we walk in it?
The authority that Christ has given us is to teach and preach the Gospel to others. Teaching them to observe all that he has has done. We have power or authority over the enemy. When my foes come up Against me they will stumble and fall. The belivers has more power over spiritual forces than they think. What do the believers have within their lives that make the enemy want to devour the believers.
We are in the light of God.
Our faith in the God
Trusting in God’s word
Praying
Being called out for a purpose.
Through us God can change the heart of people.
Walking in our authority over the enemy is no longer a one day visitation being with God. It’s a 24 hours 7 days a week heart full devotion to God and his ways.
When we are in the light of God it shines all over the place. The darkness fades away. Yet the forces that is around us try to get us away from the light of God. For this reason we need to have our spiritual armour on.
As we walk with God, our faith in him will help us to have the AUTHORITY over the things the enemy. If we don’t have a strong faith in God, the enemy will come in and devour us, because we are not walking in spiritual authority. When the believers have strong faith in God they know and understand the attack from the enemy. The enemy knows who are faking our walk, and faith in God. They move in on the believers and deceive them. Therefore believers your mission is to set aside a time to communicate with God. As the believers do this and understand the concept they will not let any outside forces to penetrate their relationship with God.
The important principle as believers itustn Jesus Christ is to trust in God’s word. His word reveals his truth in all of our life’s situations. Trusting in God’s word also empowers us to stand our ground against the evil forces within this world. By this we have authority over the enemy and will understand why they don’t like the children of God.
Our communication with God is important also. Praying to God is one of the things believers need to do each day. Regardless of any circumstances praying is an ongoing process. Our communication with God let us know what God wants from us and it gives up hope for the future. Communication or praying to God want that from us. It not just asking God for things but thinking him for your new life that is hidden in Christ Jesus. The more we are in communication with God, the powerful our life gets. The authority in God by communication to him will enable use all our spiritual senses to see when the enemy is coming against us. We can stand firm and say not today you old devil. You can’t get me down and out. You can’t stop my progress in God.
What is our given purpose for God? Has anyone tells you no but God is saying yes.
It does happen to many people. God set a plan out for others, yet people don’t encourage them to follow what God desire is for your life. Are we letting people control what God has set before us. As we communication with God, trust his word, keeping the faith, and walk in his light why listen to those negative from others. Walking in our authority means doing what God has sent us to do. God give us a task to do than do it. Do you every get punished by not doing an assignment at work. I can imagine the boss was angry with you. So it is with God in a since, he get upset for us not doing what we been call out to do. Remember God has put this in place and following his command, and living it out will speak volumes in our lives.
How is this related to our authority. If we listen to man and not God we are not under his wings. We have let the enemy to come in and steal things that God had for us to do. God is our life source, he is the creator of us all. Since God called us out we are able to walk in his authority and we can continue to fight the good fight of faith. Regardless of what the enemy or the forces of darkness my throw our way.
