As we celebrate Memorial Day we think about those who died for our freedom. To live a life in the United States of America as free people. Not being held back from things we desire to do for the benefit of others.
Some will travel across the United States this holiday weekend and feel no worries at all. Some will be at home with large group of people thinking about those love ones that past and served in the military. They served the military with love, honor and respect a battle for freedom. Yet there was one who fought our own personal battle and that is Jesus Christ.
In him we have the spiritual freedom. He set us free from a spiritual death. Those who believe in him as their Lord and savior are free. For they have eternal freedom. He died to set us free, he did it for you, he did it for me so our souls won’t be lost. Now with this freedom we must live for him and don’t let the freedom we have in Christ be wasted on doing evil but doing good for others and ourselves.
If you don’t know or haven’t experienced his love and grace and you need that spiritual freedom Just ask him into your life today. Confess him and believe in Him and you will have that freedom. Just as the military man and woman stood up for our freedom. Christ stood up for our spiritual freedom and that is eternal.
