While Paul was still in Philippi an occurrence happened. Paul by the power of God was able to release that demon off this woman. We are teaching in a different format. We want you to think about those things the scripture is saying to you. See how a man of faith was able to work such power in the name of Jesus.
Acts 16:16-18 KJV
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
We have read these verses over and over again but do we know the power that is within these verses of scripture.
What power of God is demonstrated in just the verses 16-18.
1. Faith- movement toward prayer
Consistance days at the same hour each day.
How do you know when you are walking with God totally in his care- the demon will recognize the Jesus in you.- listen to what the woman said. Was it from her or the evil spirit with in.
How long did Paul and the apostle put up with this doing. Yes Paul go anoid at what was going on.
Irrate irritated within his spirit.
He didnt speak to the woman but the demon inside of her.- when whe prayer for people are we praying for the body or that person soul or spirit.
It tells us she had a evil spirit with her inorder for her to tell the future. Fortune teller you can say. People was using her to gain money.
Not only is the lady being control by the demon but at what point do you see others are capitalizing over this situation.
Now Paul turn and spoke to the demon directly
1. Is the demon or satanic forces reconizing who we are in Christ
2. Are we reconizing the demons or santatic forces in other. Not calling them out by name but standing like Paul and say come out in the name of Jesus Christ.
3 sensing your surrounding
4. Fasting and praying strong relationships with God
5 demons knows Gods people
God moved in that stiuation the demon fled and the wowan was no longer demon possed.
Deliverence and healing happened that day. To have faith in God that much to do such work is powerful. Paul was a man who had an encounter with Christ. That is why he was able to do such work. He also had a personal relationship with God.
The total salvation plan is the encounter with Jesus. Having a experience with Jesus that does something to you that will change your life around. Second to develope a personal relationship with God. An one on one experience that only you and God knows.
