A Good men or women of God are led by the Holy Spirit

We had taken time off, but we are back and ready to continue with Paul second missionary journey. Looking into ACT 16 1-5 We see Timothy has join in with Paul and Silas.

Today the journey continues yet some learning we can apply in our lives today. Today text is found in

Acts 16:6-10

Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

As they traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, 3 points is taken away from this.

1. The Holy Spirit kept them as they preached the word.

2. The spirit of Jesus wouldn’t allow them to travel into Bithynia.

3. Paul had a vision of a man.

This was important to know because as a person goes out ministering to people they must have the Holy Spirit guiding them. As they preached the word they were kept by the Holy Spirit.

The spirit of Jesus didn’t allow them to go to this part of region called Bithynia. We don’t know why this took place but it did. As preachers and teaches we can’t do as we want but doing what God has for us to do.

Where are they going to next?

They passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. That night a vision came to Paul. A man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

The next stop was in Macedonia. The reason why God want them to go there to preach the gospel.

As an evangelist I need to be ready to spread the gospel message where God wants me to go…

The reason behind these scripture verse was to leaders, evangelist, pastors, apostle, prophets to go where the spirit of God leads you. We also learn that people need to hear the good news. God will sent you to people that you might not think they deserve to hear the Gospel message of hope.

Just a minder for all. Let be aware when God call you to minister to others. It could be a need at that point. From your preaching or teaching does leave an impact on the area you are in. Listen to God. Always be guided by the Holy Spirit.

Next topic will be in Acts 16:11-15
