A life in Christ

Acts 8:26-40

Welcome to today walk in the word. What is your life in Christ? Are you living your life in Christ to the fullest? Why do some christian seem to have a hard time with their life in Christ. The key element in our life in Christ.

Text key verse is Acts 8:30-31

Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Today message is how can we live a totally Christ center life if we are not taught how. We go to our place of worship and learn truths about God but do they instruct others to apply the word in our lives.

We are taught in school things that will help us to reach the next level. Are we taught how to grow in Christ. Each day is a learning experience. Reading the Bible is great but we have to study the Bible like any other classes in school. As we read the Bible get other teaching materials that will help us along the way.

The life in Christ is very important to the life of a christian. For in everything a person does in life they learn how to do it. Take for example sports players keep training in and off season. They keep their body in shape, and do things on a regular bases so they will be able to continue playing in the game.

Are people continue to read the word and applying it into their life consistently. Are they developing a mind, set on Jesus and the things of God. Are they allowing the enemy to come in and confuse them.

At a young age we learn right and wrong but do we understand that in the life we have in Christ. Do we understand when people come to Christ we need to grow them and help them to understand points about their life in Christ now.

Life in Christ is important because we must teach the new Christian the word and help them to apply it into their personal life. Each person has their own story to tell. Their relationship with God is based on themselves and not nobody else.

We will look into that tomorrow how a parent has different relationship with their kids and it’s all not the same.

To sum it all up as we learn in the natural since, we also need to be taught in a spiritual since. We must continue to have somebody to make disciples of us as we grow in our spiritual life. As we grow we get to the point we now can be let go of the teacher and we and teach others.

That is what we see today in the text a person who didn’t understand it. One person the Lord sent his way so he can see the true meaning behind the word.

Jesus is the key. He had the power to set us free. A life of hope is in him. Read and understand Jesus died for us and the world. All we have to do is to ask and receive Christ into our life. Repent from your sins and ask God to forgive you.

To those who come to Christ, God gives them the power to become children of God. The gift is yours just receive it and become made whole with God.
