From Darkness to the light
Who is this man called Simon?
This is what Simon was doing before God took over his life.
But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
Acts 8:9-10 KJV
Who was Simon? He was a man who gain wealth by doing or practicing sorcery and witchcraft to which prople thought he had great power of God. What he was doing was all a lie. It looked like one thing but it wasn’t real. He was deceiving many people.
When Philip came and started to tell others the good news of Jesus Christ. He also had power of God behind him to do miracles for such as the scripture stated.
And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
Acts 8:6-7 KJV
But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

When we notice things and see things that we know that can’t be explain God is trying to get our attention. People saw what Simon was doing but yet they realize the power of God that Philip had upon him.
Simon and others they went from the power of satan unto the power of God. We witness this because of two things. They believed on what Philip was saying and doing. Second was they were baptized. One is an inward act towards God by faith. Second is an outward showing to other that they had made a commitment to serve God and live for him.
Look at Simon, a person who lied and got most of the people follow him because of the magic he was doing, now change to God. He followed Philip, beholding the signs and miracles that was done in the name of God.
Yes, Simon saw for himself the true power of God working. When we open our eyes to see the power of God that is working, we might not see it at first but when we do and take it to heart a change will take place.
Many of us are following after things that goes against the nature of God. Today God wants us to know is don’t be decieved the devil may copy those things of God but people lives are still empty. God can fill that void in your life. He can give you the peace and power you need for everyday situations.
The topic is from satan to God. This is the message of hope. We can have a newness in Christ. He died for us and now lives in us. He gives us the eternal hope. Tbe hope in knowing our spiritual soul can rest at ease. The reason is we have been washed and cleaned by tbe blood of Jesus Christ. The son of God. There is no other name on earth in whom we can be saved.
We are now taken out of the hands of satan unto the power of God, once we believe and recieve Jesus into our life.
Ask and recieve him today. God is with you today and foever more. He loves and cares for you. He died upon the cross and gives us new meaning in life.
Remember God power working in your life is more than anything the world could offer.
