ACTS 8:5-8
The work must be done

As we have looked into Acts we see many things taking place. As we look at acts 8 God wanted me to look at these points
Who was Philip. Why was he sent to Samaria. What did he do while he was there. What was the result of all of this. Why does peter and john come to samaria.
As we read we must look at what is going on and how God put things into place.
Point 1 there are order in things. God will send people out like Philip to prepare the way. Other will than follow to finish up their mission.
Between acts 8:5-25 we witness the accounts of such power of God.
Philip he went down to Sameria. His mission was to proclaim the Messiah. Tell the people the news of Jesus Christ. Through him God was able to do wonderful works. He was one of the chosen 7 who was filled with wisdom and was able to teach and spread the good news of Christ with power and boldness.
We see this from Acts 8:5-8
Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.
The healing power comes from God. Philip was only the vessel God was using. We see because of the faith people had many was healed and delivered from all such things.
Just know this many was healed and set free. They believed and was baptised. Yet not filled with the Holy Spirit. Many have said Philip was an evangelist. He was given power to go out and spread the good news. As he did so signs and wonders went with him.
Because of his action great joy fell over the city. The power of God working in the lives of others, inorder people would not perish but have everlasting life.
Do we really understand the power of God in such a way. Do we really see this type of power working in people lives today. Do we reject the word more now than ever.
This is something to think about and let your mind wonder. When we do just think of two thing God is still the same today as he was then. He never changes. However God must work to get the message of the good news across he will do so.
Many are out there teaching and preaching tbe gospel. They have a heart of service to God. They also want to see people come to know Christ.
With the preaching and teaching of the gospel come responsible. Meaning people need to have somebody to teach them more. Understanding what it means to be save and develop that person into a stronger relationship to Christ and God. It will ne on the line of discipleship. Teaching and training one to continue to grow in their faith.
Today it was to walk in the power, to live in the power, to proclaim the gospel with power. When we do this people will come to see God in a mighty way and understand why he sent his son. The redemption power of God through Jesus Christ.
