Word of the day

A message from the heart

Acts 7

When you speak up for things that you are compassionate, do you speak from your heart? From speaking from your heart with boldness and power does your word convinced people.

Many don’t stand up for what they believe in because they are afriad of the fall out from it. How will people react to me? Am I crossing my bounds? Will people understand what I am saying? What if they hate me for what I said?

These are some inner thoughts a person might say when they speak their mind. It’s not what others may say but it’s the truth that you feel so compassionate for. Stephen he spoke with greatness yet he might have known what was coming, he still stood up and spoke God’s truth and things that was so dear to him.

He spoke about relationship people had with God. How they trusted God in their situation. Stephen speach was long, read Acts 7 and you will see why Stephen was so agaist people for not believing in God. God has done some great work among the leaders such as the Moses, Abraham, Joseph and the prophets.

As we look at Acts 7 the key to this was what Stephen called them

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

In other words the time Moses was delivering the people, most still didn’t believe in the God. They set up idols to worship, they really didn’t trust and believe the God of Abraham. Stephen was telling them you have witness the accounts of Christ, a just and a righteous man. Yet you killed him, just as they killed the prohets of old.

Stephen was speaking to tell the people like it was. He spoke with boldness and power that was within him. All of what he was saying was coming from the heart. A heart burning with the power of God within.

He might have know his fate at this time but with God loving on him and in him he knew in his heart what he must say. He might not have the chance to say what was on his heart again.

Take a look into what Stephen was saying and how he said it. He wanted to let the people know and understand the messiah, Jesus Christ whom they crucified. The fate of Stephen didn’t rest in the people but upon God.

If you are compassionate about something of God and you know its the truth stand up and be counted. Don’t let another day go by and be silent. Speak the word in and out of season. Know this if what you are telling others about how Jesus Christ died for the world. For each and everyone. That is a life changing experience. Christ can change a person life. They must believe and recieve Christ as their savor and Lord. We must see Christ as the righteous one. The lamb that was slain for our sins and unrighteouness.

  1. Beautiful inspiration. It is hard to speak the truth and we are passionate when we think about what others may say but when we find inspiration in the divine , we find courage .
