A MESSAGE OF HOPE JULY 19 2020

A message of hope

Press on and never give up

The other day I went into a restaurant and I saw a worker I knew. He didn’t look all that well, yet he was still working. I saw this worker pass out on the floor. Look like he was out for a few seconds. Once recovered, he went back to work regardless of what just happened.

God was telling me something at this point. You may get knocked down, you are not out. The enemy tries to take you out but, yet God said he still have you. Then I remembered two passage of scripture first is this

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 NIV
Once we press forward we don’t have to look back. We are always reaching for the prize that is in front of us. Do you know the reason behind this? The answer is found in Hebrews 12:1-3 and Romans 5:3-6.

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. -ROMANS 5:3-6

As we press forward toward the prize we must consider what the prize will be. The prize is what Christ put in us to finish. Sometimes the road is hard and difficult but as we continue to fix our eyes on Jesus and persevere it will built character within us and through us. The hope we have in Christ does something to us, it forces us to go on no matter how weary we are and because of that we don’t have to lose heart. In other words, we don’t have to give in, we don’t have to crumble under the pressure because if we look at what Jesus went through for us, then we know and understand the love he has for us. It is all about the love and motivation as we continue doing and living for Christ, because of what he put in us and on us, so we can continue to lead people into a righteous path.

Going back to the person who passed out at work. When all was said and done he got back up and continue to do what he was doing before the attack. He didn’t let that setback get to him, he had a goal to set out for and no matter what his mind was focus on that goal.

Finally, as you go your way this week, you find yourself under pressure just know that you are not alone. God is with you to help you out. Keep the focus in mind. I HAVE NOT FINISHED WHAT GOD PUT IN ME TO DO. I will continue to strive, to live, to work, and be all that Christ has called me to be. If the enemy tries to stop me all I must do is remember who I am in Christ and tell the enemy it’s time to flee. Go back where you came from. Trust in God and understand YOU GOt THE VICTORY!!!!!!!!
