Acts 6

How to gain favor with God.

There is no secret what God can do in a persons life. How will God react to you when you are full of faith and The Holy Spirit. Lets look at Stephen from this perspective.

Who is Stephen?

They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.

He was chosen by the apostles among the 7. They laid hands on them and prayed over them. They did this so the work of God could continue.

Serveral things they point out about Stephen are. A man full of faith, full with the Holy Spirit. What more could you want from a person at this time. The key point is God blessing was upon him. We knew this because God enable him to do or perform great wonders and signs among the people.

We gain favor with God by being faithful and being filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.

Do you know when we have this favor of God in our life and working under his power Eph 3:20 speakes about what God can do for us and in us, once we truly believe.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20‭-‬21 KJV

To see the life of Stephen we must under these truth. He was a man filled of faith. He trusted God in all he did. How do we know this because God gave him the power to do wonders among the people.

With the power that works in our life. Allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us and use us in the way we should go, than God is able to do more for us. He will do it in a way that will be much more abundant and above all that we ask or think. We might ask for things but if we have the faith in him. Those things we ask for, believing it’s already done he will do it. Yet not only that blessing will happen but things tied to it will also be a blessing to us.

God do things in us and for us by our faith that works within. As we move closer to him in faith God will work it out. I do believe Stephen had an personal encounter with God. He saw first hand account of those things Jesus did and how God move during this time. He was a true man of faith. Not holding back but giving himself to Jesus and God inorder for God plan and purpose would be carried out.

How do gain favor with God? Two simple things. Have faith and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Faith come fron knowing and understanding things that Jesus Christ said and went through during his time on earth. The faith is in knowing who God is and what he is all about. The most important part is continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit as he leads you and guide you into all truth.

This is one of many ways the favor of God will fall upon you.
