When we think its over

God does it again

The lesson today is about the apostles and looking at their fate at this time. They boldly stood and told the people who arrested them that they will only obey God and not men. They are witness to the fact of Jesus Christ a righteous man whom they crucified, God raised him up on the third day. Seen by many and now sitted at the right hand of God.

Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings! The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
Acts 5:29‭-‬32 NIV

By them saying this it made people mad and they wanted to kill the Apostles. A person by the name of Gamaliel was against such act.

Men plan was to kill the apostle at this time and some was killed later. God had another plan. It was for the apostles at this specific to live and not die. Gamaliel made a statement and it went something like this. We had leaders in the past, they also had their followers. When the leaders died the followers went their own way. This is not the case. When God is in it you can’t stop the progress.

This is what he said about what was going on at this time.

But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
Acts 5:39‭-‬40 NIV

As we notice today God work must be done. The people in charge at this time wanted the apostles to be killed. God had other plans for them. The needed to continue on doing as they are doing. Teach the word and tell others of the new life in Christ.

On this note, man might what to stop your mission for Christ. They will try to say and do anything to put other agaist you. Men might try to stop you but God plan will continue to move regardless what other may say or think about you.

God put in us as to do his work. To do his will. As we are doing we must see this truth. When it’s from God nobody can stop us because we have that faith in God, and Jesus.
