Was blind but now I see

How many have heard this statement I once was blind but now I see? That statement is also found in one of the oldest hymns around, for the hynm is amazing grace.

We are looking at this point, the Spirit of the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news. Jesus went around teaching and preaching the word that God gave him to say. He came to do his father will and his words only comes to him by his father God. While Jesus went along his way he did miracles. He by God power restore sight to the blind. This was tge physical manifestation of God power that was seen.

As Jesus was able to open the eyes of the blind we also are able to open the eyes of the blind. You might say how is that possible. What we have to look at is both aspect of the human nature. We both have a fleshy nature and a spiritual nature.

Jesus while he was here on earth he dealt with others in both ways. When Jesus went out to heal people he touch their physical and spiritual state. When we go to the doctor they only help us with the physical, but what about the spiritual need.

Many have said that is why there are churches today so they can reach other spiritually. Many churches in the world today has lost its power to reach others spiritually. Some are preaching what others want to hear. The truth to be told is many are in church and still can’t see the truth of God

Part of Luke 4:14-21 says Jesus came to recover sight to the blind. Jesus is no longer in this world but we who confess to be believe in Christ are able restore sight to the blind.

Meaning, people are walking around in spiritual darkness. That spiriual darkness can take on two form. The first form is those who know Christ but don’t have the concept who they are in Christ. People goes on for years and yet the believe but don’t study or read the word so they can see their way clearer. The life which they are now living belongs to Jesus and some don’t understand. Once they come to see the power of God and realize who they are in Christ and the benifits to God kingdom they will say I once was blind but now I see God’s truth for my life.

It gives me a greater joy in knowing when a person who hears the word and act upon it. By acting upon the word they now make that commitment to follow Christ. They themself have came to the understanding it’s time for a change. Time to see the real truth about life. They now can say i was blind but now i see.

The book of John chapter 3 speaks on this. You must be born again. It speaks about a new life in Christ. Those who are in the world had no concept of the spiritual things. They are blinded when it comes to the things of God. Once God start working on people they will be broken and God comes in and give them a new life.

Finally if you are walking around and blinded to the truth of God and you feel like it time for him to open your eyes. Now is the time. Regardless of what has happen or is happening in your life God wants your eyes to be open to his truth. To his ways and no longer let the cares of this world get to you. You can say without a shadow of dought I was blind but now I can see. See things more clearly to God’s truth and his light. Confess and believe in your heart Christ died and was buried. God raised Jesus on the third day. Jesus has all power and authority. We who come to God are now children of God. We belong to him. In him we have life and the victory.
