In life we do have obstacles to overcome. Some have had great jobs but then they get the pink slip. The company is folding up time to move on. While other have it all but their lives is in a whirlwind spinning out of control. You have those that might not have that much but their lives is in full control because they know how to do with what they have.
No mattet what situation you are in just know you are blessed. Today topic or a word of truth is coming from Luke 4:14-21 Pay it foward.
Jesus was reading a portion of Isaiah 61:1-2 and 58:6. How many of believer are doing what is written in these passage. This blessing story comes from a real life stituation how one many pay it forward and things he never expected began to happen in his life.
James was a man who took pride in the things he did and say. He was a great man, a man of his word and had a heart for other. He had friends but they wasn’t that close to him. One day while he was in the check out lane at a supermarket he let a few people in front of him because he had a large amount of groceries. After all his groceries had been rung up his bill was 127.58. He reached in his pocket to pay for the it. The woman behind him said. I saw what you did. You let several people go before you but you didn’t have to do it. Yes i feel I had to much and they only had a little. The woman told James because of what you did I will pay for your total bill. Just think of this as a gift from God, but remember to pass it on or pay it forward.
James was so surprise because this was the only time someone did something nice for him in that way. Remember what the the text is about. Bringing hope to other in a way that you yourself dont get the glory but God himself gets it. Years later as James was going along doing his own thing he came along this person who seem to be well dress and had no problem, but David was like trying to get what he could from the trown out trash. James approached David and ask him what was going on. David told him his family is in hard time. He lost his Job few month back and what we had was just enough to get us by until his payment come next month. David told James about this settlement was coming in but until them the family have to get by from day to day looking to see what people might have thrown out could be used by them. James told him yes we all have fallen on hard times one point or the other. Since I have seen you around and trust you how about I talk you to the store and get some food. The cost is on me with no string attached.
David was so filled with joy and he never had anyone to act to kindly towards him. James told David one thing i do ask is you pay it forward.
Remeber I said at the start you never know who you might be helping out. David wasn’t just anybody but he was a minister of the Gospel of Christ but he didn’t have a church to call his place of worship. . He became a minister after serving jail term for something that he didn’t do. By James helping David out the family had what they needed. Once the settlement came in he decided to keep his promised. God provided David to get linked to a wonderful place of worship. He took part of his settlement to help people out who also been down and out who needed spiritual guidance.
One life touches others to produce the seed that grows into tbe faith which God want from us. Pass it forward or pay it forward be a blessing to others without any strings attached.
