There was a TV show call the outer limits. It was a scientific show. It dealt with the unknown things that could happen to people.
What if we go beyond the outer limits with God. Meaning all of our lives people has out limits on us. We can di this or you can’t do that. What if this year we go beyond the limits of how people see and view God.
What I am saying what if we do what Jesus commands us to do. The first is worship God in spirit and truth.
We see so many different denomination, when it comes to serving God. The way we are raised is most likely will be our faith base belief in God. For example if a person is raised in a Baptist home usually he or she will become apart of the Baptist faith. Same way with catholic faith. The family you are born into most likely will lead you to the faith of the parents belief.
Do you think it’s fair to follow after your family belief or letting the spirit of God lead you into the faith that will be right for you. Meaning if a person is pushed into a faith based organization he or she might not like it and it becomes more of a obligations and not a personal commitment.
To love God is to walk in his ways and the light of his truth. Most don’t see this. They usually say since my family believes this way, I too will believe as my family. What if that person decide not to follow the family tradition? What if he or she decided to follow after their own heart and conviction.
God wants us to serve him from a pure heart, his truth and way. Not from a form or a tradition. It a personal encounter with Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. Once we get to see that and know it’s will change our lives forever.
The outer limits is beyond what the mind can comprehend. It going beyond the limits of the normal person. It’s going outside of the circle and nothing can confine you to that space no more. When we think about the outer limits of worshipping God, it breaks down any and all concept of what people may think and know.
For some people they put a cap on serving God. A cap is a cover or a point of reach the highest ground. people won’t let others go beyond that cap. For example, people put caps on how much a person can make on a job. If you look at a bottle cap nothing can get into it or out of it unless you open the cap. Once you open the cap of the bottle you can pour out whatever is in the bottle. Also you can add things into the bottle once the cap is off.
As we worship God, don’t put a cap or lid on him. As you pour out of yourself God is putting his truth inside of you. When it come to serving God and knowing who he is go beyond the limits, worship and serve God in spirit and in truth. God want true worshipers. Those who are willing to serve him without any limitations.
This year let’s serve God, not out of form, not out of habit. Out of trueness and love, only he can bring us. With a pure heart, mind, soul and spirit. Once we do this we will be one a different level of a relationship with God, to the point we realize that nothing can stop us from serving God and will think we have lost our mind when it comes to the things of God. When we reach the outer limits in serving God it will change us forever. Yet we can continue to go beyond the thing that people may not understand but yet it’s how God has become more real in our lives.
