A life for a life. Christ gave his life so we could live. This posting will be somewhat graphic in detail of the journey to the cross. This is all about Christ and what happen before and while he was on the cross. How Christ told his disciples that the was represented his blood.
The account of the Lord’s supper can be found within the gospels and the letter writing within the New Testament of the Bible.
Luke 22:20
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Do you realize the point of this message that Jesus was saying. Jesus knew he was going to die. He knew because of the practice at that time about things that happen before people was crucified.
Yes at that period of time people was whipped. The whip had pieces of bone fragments in them. They would whip a person almost to death. 39 times they would strike a person. Doing this the person would be almost dead. When they got to the cross the length of time on the cross was short. Some died before they got to the cross because of the blood loss.
Now for a clearer picture of what Jesus was saying about the blood being shed for the world, for me and for you.
At Easter do we look only at Christ on the cross? We notice somethings that happened on the cross, one of them was the point the soldiers pierced Jesus in the side. The scriptures tell us blood and water came out of him. Before this happened Jesus was already bloody from the pointed thorns on his head and the whipping that he took.
I can imagine each drop of blood that he shed from that night to the cross it was there to redeem the lost. As the blood pour out it was saying to us all. The blood is the covering that will save all if they just believe in Jesus Christ. I can imagine God looking at Jesus and seeing what he went through but the words was loud and clear. When the blood was put over the door post, people was protected as Christ poured out his blood those who come to him will be covered in the last days.
We will be in a new heaven and new earth. God will be on his throne in all of his majestic and Christ will be our guiding light. We will worship God and give him praise. All of this is found in the last three chapters of Book of Revelation.
Christ blood was shed way before the cross and we have to be reminded all that he did and the pain he was going through it gave us the power to become children of God, once we believe on Jesus Christ. Christ death means more than we think and once we see it for ourselves or come to an understanding of it all it will change us forever. We will be restored spiritual and have a life with God, Jesus, and be lead by the Holy Spirit.
Have a great day and just know oh it was the blood of Jesus. Nothing but the blood can wash us whiter than snow. Nothing but the blood of Jesus. People may have a dark life or a past but when they come to Christ they will experience a new life in him or a life changing experience. Expect you life to be different when you truly find Christ and the meaning of knowing God.
