How much torture can you take?

What do you think when you hear the word torture? When I look at movies and TV shows I see people being torture. What is torture? If you was being tortured would you be able to handle it. Going back to movies we most see people being tortured because they have a secret and the enemy wants to know all about it.

We also think about military people who been captured by the enemy and they want to know all the information about things they know. Even while being tortured people don’t give up that easy. They try to prolong the torture in order not to give up any a valuable information.

How are people torture with our lives today. It could be something small as being bullied to something big having a finger cut off.

One person who was torture and really humiliated was Jesus Christ. We talk about Christ on the cross but what did he go through before the cross? In the four gospel it mentions Jesus was scourge. Scourging was a brutal punishment, but it was standard practice before a crucifixion. The whip, the flagellum, had several thongs, each one of which had pieces of bone or metal attached. This was done to wear down a person before they was crucified. In one passage of scriptures it says Jesus was scourged 39 times. This was totally torture on the human body.

This wasn’t all they mock and played around with Jesus like a animal would do it’s pray. Jesus knew he had to reach the cross for all mankind. The whipping and mocking was Jesus showing his nature. He was man in the flesh but God son in the spirit. As both man and God son he knew that it will be over soon and the victory that soon will come will be all his and God’s. People will be able to get back into the right standing with God. The leading factor in this is they needed to repent and turn to God because of their sin. Why did Jesus do all of this and he didn’t do no wrong? It was all out of love and God plan for the world. Jesus came to redeem the world.

We all have the access to that love God has for the world. How Jesus took all of it on so we could have eternal life is the key. All we need to do is have the faith, trust in God and BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the savior and he died for us all.

Remember no matter what you been through. No matter what type of lifestyle you are living or have live. Christ is able to set you free from it all. He is ready to give you a new life of victory and hope. Just ask and receive and he will come into your life today.
