The calling of an apostles

We in the last week haven’t been posting because we wanted to start November off on a new topic and a fresh slate.

For today and tomorrow it’s all about the last two of the 5 fold ministry God place on people. Yes God calls some to be teachers, evangelists, pastors, apostles, and prophets. Today is all about the duty and the purpose of a Apostles.

If you look in the book of Acts we see Apostles coming to light. The most popular one but yet really chosen by God was Paul. Paul first went around hurting and killing the believers in Christ. Jesus met him along the way. Jesus changed Paul life in that quick second. Paul was chosen to be an apostle. His mission was to go around and telling others the good news of Christ. Establishing places where people could go and worship.

The true assignment of an apostle is to go and set up churches. Give them instructions and help them as they can continue on their own. Unlike a evangelist who might come to a town for a week or so. Their job is to bring people into the way of salvation. Lead them to God. The pastor is to oversee things of the church and make sure it is functioning under the order of God.

Looking at an Apostles we don’t know how long he will be in a given area. When God tell him to move on and go somewhere else he will do it. Some apostles do have their own church but they are the overseer. Other people conduct or maybe they will conduct Sunday service.

Be reminded they at times feed into others. They do have the gifting of what God has put on them. They do minister of laying on of hand. Praying for others. With in anointed Apostle through them God is able to work miracles in the lives of other. They are really God vessel to carry the word therefore not only them but all who God has called must be of good report and good standing in their faith. Not wavering in and out. Have the knowledge and wisdom of the word of God. Most of all have a heart of a servant. To serve the body of Christ in all that God calls them to do.

Today was just a little understanding of an Apostles. We have many who been called to be an Apostle but some are self made. We are not to judge that but our spirit will reveal that to us. God will also judge them on their actions.

Remember the 5 fold ministry helps motivate the believers in Christ. Push them into the place where they need to be by encouraging them to go on with God. To be who God called them to be. Apostles push other into God’s truth and light.
