I was reading the book of Jonah. Many thing about Jonah that disturbed me but the most was how he got made at God for sparing those in Nineveh.
He question God on why did he change his mind about the people because they were evil and wicked. Why did you have grace and mercy upon them.
This week we want to motivate people who think about being satisfied in things they have. Somebody somewhere has less than you.
We in today world are never content or satisfied of the things in the world we live in. From the house we live in to the food we eat everyday.
Those little things that happen to some seem not to bother them. Yet the same thing could happen to others and they really go off in a fit of rage. They fell the world revolves around them. If something goes wrong that make a very big ordeal of it.
Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Let’s be content with things around us. Not wanting things other has. Not complaining just because. Let’s learn to be satisfied in everyday life. Everyone is not perfect and there will be some mistake along the way. We have to learn how to live with the little misfortune and move on from there.
What the scripture is saying is this
He know the meaning of getting by each day. He knows the meaning of life with Christ. He knows with Christ he can do all things because Christ gives him strength.
Are you being satisfied or content in everyday life. Do those little things get to you. How do you react when a food order is not right. Yes you have the right to complain but to what extent will it become. Calm and cool or loud and out of control.
The true lessons behind it all we must have an understanding we will never be satisfied 100 petcent of the time. We wont be content 100 percent of the time. Don’t make it your point where it’s all about you and things around you. Learn to be satisfied and content. Learn how to be in control when things don’t go in your favor. Remain calm and relax you might make it into a big deal but is only a minor problem.
Be content allow God to help you out in all your ways. Learn how Paul the apostle was content in all that he went through. See how Jesus was able to do the will of the father by knowing he had a mission to do. He might not wanted to it but he knew it was his task and he must be content and satisfied in doing what he was sent out to do.
Finally remembered to be content with things in life and later down the road more things will come to you. If you are faithful over the little things God will give you greater things to be over.
