Welcome to our lastest posting. We are doing somethings different and we are posting at different time of the day. Be on the lookout on our postings. Most will come in the early morning eastern standard time. Others might come in the late evening but just know we are still here to deliver a posting each day.
Within the ministry we have different people to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Within the message of hope it tells of God’s mercy and Grace over the years. The message carries also things that could happen to people who don’t believe in God or still doing evil in God’s sight.
We have teachers, evangelist, pastors, prophets, and apostles. They all have different functions but the main purpose for their ministry is to bring people into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, second is to train or teach people the ways of God. Third is to lay a foundation in others people lives so they can grow in understand the meaning of being a disciples of Christ. Forth is build others up in the right way. To encourage and strengthen others in the things God. Many others functions or duty each person is called to do for God but those are just an example of the main mission of each or all. Remember there are other ministries to help grow the kingdom of God but those are 5 key ministry the Bible speaks about.
Today as we look at the calling of an evangelist. In the book of Timothy, Paul instructions Timothy to do the work of an evangelist. What are the works of evangelist. Many saw Billy Graham on stage teaching or preaching the gospel message over the television many years ago. Billy Graham was known as an evangelist. A person who goes around ministring the gospel of Jesus Christ. The reason behind this is to bring people into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. They preach a message of hope, a message of deliverance, as well of what will take place in the future that the book of Revelation speaks about. The reason for this is to bring people into the family of God. The evangelist my not live in that town but works with churches within that town so the ministry can guide that person to the right body of Christ so they can work out their soul salvation in Jesus Christ. The evangelist is the first line of defense to bring people into God kingdom. We may not see it this way but people they might not even know they could have the gift of Evangelism. Telling others the good news of Christ. Whether or not you been called to be an evangelist the key point behind it all is letting God lead and guide you along the way.
The evangelist role is to bring people into the church. To go out and minister to others that might not be able to get to church or want to go to church. The purpose of his or her role is to work with the community and the churches to establish a network so he or she can guide a person to the right ministry. Some evangelist are preaching and teaching for a long time away from his or her church home. That is why it’s important for an evangelist to have a home church to go back to when he or she get back to their own town.
Being an evangelist today may not be the same as it was 50 years ago. Yet they still have to carry the gospel message wherever they go. They must do this in and out of season. Always go where go leads them. To bring people hope, life and encourage no matter where the are. The ways they can get their message out to other is by having crusade or revival, soical media, and other resources. Remember a evangelist must do what God has them to do so his kingdom can continue to grow and people can continue to come into the family of God.
Some churches they call evangelist missionary but we have to realize when God call and anoints people to be an evangelist they will know because they will have a heart to evangelize the community, city, state, and world for Christ.
