Welcome to our weekend motivation time. Usually our African ministry do the topic.
They wasn’t able to produce the writing in a timely manner. The subject they been on is taken from Matthew 28:18-20. What Jesus told the disciple we now call it the great commission.
He did tell me this as we were communicated with each other. The world commission means
Not only do we find this is Matthew but also the following Bible scripture Mark 16:15–16, Luke 24:45–49, Acts 1:4–8, and John 20:20–23.
Here are the reading for today.
Mark 16:15-16
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Luke 24:45-49
Than he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.
John 20:20-23
20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized withwater, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” 6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The great commission in some since is found in all the gospel. It not only telling his disciples how to do things but he is giving them instructions to bring people into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Before they go out wait for the Holy Spirit to fall on you. When the Holy Spirit fall you will receive power. To go, and minister to their needs.
The motivation for today if you are a believer in Christ we must do the instructions of Jesus Christ. Teach, train, and most of all share with others the good of JESUS CHRIST and GOD.
