This week we are looking from Matthew 28:18-20. We are continuing the subject with faith walking people. Taking a look at one of key principal in the christian faith. That would be Evangelism.
Here at GivinHope Evangelistic Ministry, our aim is to go, gathering and grow people into their faith in God. We going to look at what Christ really said about what being a disciple of Christ is about. It’s more than attending church on Sunday but a lifestyle to help others to know Christ in a personal way.
How do we go about telling others about Christ. Today is all about going out and minister to others. The Bible verses today are in book of Matthew and in the book of Acts.
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Go!!!!!!! And teach, (some translation teach is same as making disciples) baptizing, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus had taught and said and did. Once God sent us to the place we need to go. Let the holy Spirit fill you up. Leading you with the right words to say.
Point 1 is We are to go and teach(make disciples) of all nations. The part of the faith in Christ that most people don’t do. If Jesus said it why not do it. It not just up to the preacher to spread the news of Christ but up to the believers in him.
How to we make disciples? We do this by teaching and training them in the word. By going out and teaching them it will give them the right mindset to grow into Christ.
Are people willing to go and tell others the good news of Christ? Some do, while others just sit around and are afraid to minister to others. We as believers in Christ can minister to those God has called us to. When God says to go it don’t mean to sit there behind those walls and do nothing. It means to arise and get up. Move from one place to the other outside of those wall.
This has to be done by a willing person. A person who have a heart for God to be a witness to anyone he or she might encounter. Remember to pray and seek God’s advice. When you go out you will be ready to share your faith in God. The holy spirit will impart in us the words to say. When sharing your faith it’s possible you might get a script to read at first. As we continue to do that it’s possible we could add something about how God done things in our lives.
Finally it is also up to the believers to carry the message, the good news of Christ, not just the preacher. Since people aren’t pushed to share the word to others, that is why they don’t do it. Second some believers don’t have the knowledge like they should so by not having that they don’t think they can. go out and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Therefore we must hold firm to our faith. The faith is knowing what Christ has done for us and in us. As we grow in the faith it will help us to be more determine to tell others of the Good News about Jesus Christ.
That is he died on that cross. All broken and bruised for everyone in the world. He died upon the cross. Our sins he had upon him. To the point God couldn’t look at him. He was the lamb that was the living sacrifice back to God. To those who receive Christ they have the right to become the children of God. All it takes is to have faith and trust in Jesus.
Once we receive Christ we have to devolope a relationship with him. By doing this we can grow in him and become a disciple of Christ.
Today is about going and doing tomorrow is gather them and teaching them the things of God
