Weekend motivation is about God’s grace and mercy. No matter if you mess up or fallen God’s grace and mercy will help you get back into the favor of God. One key factor is don’t misuse his grace.
How do a person come to see God’s grace? Why is God so merciful and gracious when it comes to the sinner and those that had backslidden.
God loves us all and he cares for the lost as well as those who part of his family. When it comes his grace it help us to understand how much loves he has for everyone.
What is grace and mercy. Mercy is deliverance from judgment. Grace is extending kindness to the unworthy. When we fall away from our faith, God still is there waiting for us to return. Some will not repent or reconcile back to God because their heart has gotten to far away from the truth. Other will recognize and see, they will want to restore that relationship with God they once had.
God mercy and grace hold nothing against that person who coming back to him. One thing the person need to be aware of is this. Once they come back to God they must stay focus on him. They don’t want to fall away from him. If they do it might be harder for them to return back to God the second time. It set up traps for the enemy to put people at odds with spiritual things of God, therefore it could be harder to return back to God or if at all.
Why do God allow the backslidder to return back to him. The reason is his mercy and grace. God knows a person’s heart and see what they are doing. The mercy of God is once people have true repentance he won’t hold anything that they done against them. It possible the rewards in heaven might not be what it could have been. God won’t judge anyone for them backslidden but he just don’t want them to do it again. The main reason God gives everyone a second chance is to do what he put in them to do for his kingdom sake. When people backslide God could easy turn his back on them. God is extending his grace and mercy towards them. Knowing that he could have counted them out. His love us so strong that he see and knows it all. He want people to see him as their sole provider. He is willing not to put judgement on anyone and extend his grace or kindness to those who come back into the family that had fallen out of favor with God.
Fallen out of favor I use it a lot. It means that a person who use to walk with God has somehow walked away from him. Yet still in their heart God love is still there. They walk away from God because of things that happened in their life.
With God’s grace and mercy working hand in hand God will forgive people once they repent and come back to him. Do people deserve this? I could say no, but a loving and wonderful God has show his grace and mercy since the beginning of time. He could have done anything to Adam for not obeying him but his grace and mercy was shown there. All throughout the Bible God shows his mercy and grace.
I myself was out of touch with God. I had walken away from what he called me into. I was afraid and didn’t want to submit to his calling in my life at that time. Still God had a plan and purpose. Once I saw how God was moving in my life I knew at that moment I must do as he wanted. God mercy and grace was still in my life. God favor was on me but I could see it. Once the truth came to light I ask God to make things more real and let me be whom you called me to be.
Finally we see God as somebody who holds the universe in his hands. We must also come to recognize how much love, mercy, and grace God has for all of us.
For those that have fallen from their faith, God is calling you back. You might be wondering how do I get back into that relationship with God. How can my faith be restored. Tomorrow will end the lesson on the subject on faith being restored. God is able to do it.
