In the term of baseball step up to the plate or mound. There at the plate you have to prove to others you are a good batter. Sometimes a batter might have a dry spell. He seems to be striking out at most of the time he step up to plate.
Does this mean he will get let go from the team for having a bad time. Not at all the coaches train him and encourage him that he can do better. It is just that person is having a bad run at it. Does a pitcher get taken off the mound for having a bad game? Most of the time he does but is he off the team? No he is not. The coaches and others sees he is having a bad night. They might bench him but after the game they talk and discuss what happened.
In both causes they might had a bad run, yet the coaches and the other team members support him. They still a part of the team, and later on they get back into the swing of things and now they have stepped up and being counted for making an improvement in their game.
We are all not perfect and we will have slumps at time. For some, that is how it is in the spiritual sense. People do fall from God. They walk away or don’t want to have anything to do with Jesus. Do you know it’s not the end they still can step up and be counted. They may have turn away but God will give them a second chance.
You might ask yourself how can God give me a second chance when I turned my back away from him? The one word is love and the other is forgiveness. We speak much on love but we also need to talk about forgiveness.
If you have fallen and feel like God don’t care about you all I am saying he still love you. He want you to come back to him. He does this in two ways.
The first way is a person must be willing to seek to come back to God. He is not forcing anybody to do anything they don’t want to. Once a person realized, like I did, God holds the key to everything and truly see Him as the almighty God, they will repent and turn back to God.
Some people are afraid to come back to God because of this reason. Some feel as they are not worthy of God forgiveness. The feel God won’t forgive them, because they turned their back on him. In their mind they keep thinking I have done such bad things now God will never let me come back to him.
I realize after I had fallen and came back to God he forgave me and gave me the assurance that no matter what happened before it is now forgiven. God forgiveness is real and he will restore back to people what they lost spiritual as they walked away from Him. As people step up and be counted really seek the need from God again he is able to give them the forgiveness they are looking for in Christ. For example, the woman that was caught in the act of adultery Jesus didn’t accuse her but he said go and sin no more.
God is looking for people to ask him for forgiveness. We all have messed up and fallen at times. To walk away from God is not the end. His love and forgiveness is waiting for you. all we need to do is ask. The reason why is those who has fallen are still part of God’s family, but they have gone astray. Just like the baseball player might been bench for a game but yet they was part of the team.
You might have fallen away from God. You are still apart of his family. He still have investments in you but you don’t realize it.
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
What is your good words God put inside of you. What happen that you got sidetracked. You can step up and be counted again. God forgiveness is waiting for you. God will welcome you back with arms wide open. He will said my child that was lost and had fallen by the wayside has now come back to me. He or she is home now. When Jesus talks about the shepherds going after the one sheep that is lost. He is like into the shepherd he goes looking for those whom has fallen. He wants them to come back into the body of Christ.
It has happened to me I was out of touch with God but he welcome me back into his family. Since he did it for me he can do that for you. It’s not to late. God wants you back into a relationship with him. It not what others may say or do. It all about stepping up and being counted by God. Let him welcome you back into his family. Just ask for forgiveness and God will welcome you back home. God won’t force anything on you that you don’t desire. Real repentance comes from the heart. Once we do that we can be able to get back into the relationship God want us to have with him.
Step up and out you been down to long. Time to be let God see you as being counted again.
Continue to be with us as we go into tomorrow and seeing how God grace is the key to a person who has fallen and want to come back to God.
