Your actions have consequences pt 2

What happened between Samson and his wife was a total miscommunication on both parts.

As we said earlier today they both took matters into their own way and not asking help from God. They acted hastily to each situation. The people told Samson wife they will set everything in fire even her father and herself. Not thinking of who Samson was and the strength he had she folded to those guys demand.

1. Thing within her action she folded. Meaning she would rather deceive Samson than telling him the truth of what was taking place. I guess she figured family and life was more important that a little riddle.

2. She tricked Samson to tell her the answer to the riddle. Her questions to him was if you love me you would have told me the answer. As I was thinking if she loved Samson and knew all about himself then she would not gone that route. Samson being the strongest man around he could prevented the burning of things around her.

3. When the truth was reviled and Samson found out the entire situation danger on the horizon happen. He went out and killed 30 men. The event still unfolded he stripped them of their clothes and gave them to the men who answered the riddle.

4. He returned to his parents house made and angry. The reason behind this I do think was he was tricked by the person whom he loved and how could somebody so close to a thing to him.

5. The anger that Samson had towards his wife at this time was that of resentment and how could he trust her again. Unknown to Samson his wife slept with a companion that was at the feast they had.

As we end this chapter today, looking back on those things that happened it all had consequences. One thing effected the other. Even more tragic event will take place in the next two chapters. For now we have to think about our live and are we setting in motion. What events are we causing to have an impact on others. Those events could be good or bad.

What Eve did in the garden was just the down fall to man. The down fall was the right relationship with God. Men couldn’t get back to God until Jesus Christ came and died on the cross for the entire world.

In Christ we have life and that life is eternal. The decision you make to follow Christ now will save you a lot of pain and sorrow in years to come. Even after death in eternity.

Yes, things we do have consequences, are you going to make the wrong choice or ask God for guidance to make the right decision.

It is all up to you but all of what Samson and his wife went through could have been avoided with the right godly wisdom and understanding.

As we continue tomorrow how more mistakes left many dead and trouble in the home of Samson and his wife
