Your actions has consequences. A look at Samson

God has given me a word today. The word is your actions has consequences. What do we know about Samson. The story of Samson been told to us from the time we are in head start until past our prime ages. We know about how Delilah tricked him in telling her the source of his strength. Do you recall the background of his past mistakes that got his wife killed and her family. As we last wrote we see Samson wife being persuaded by the Philistines to give them the answer to the riddle Samson had them to answer. What would take place if she didn’t come up with the answer, her family and including herself would be burned.

Judges 14:15 NIV

On the fourth day, they said to Samson’s wife, “Coax your husband into explaining the riddle for us, or we will burn you and your father’s household to death. Did you invite us here to steal our property?”

She complied to the demand by tricking Samson into revealing the answer.

Judges 14:16‭-‬17 NIV

Then Samson’s wife threw herself on him, sobbing, “You hate me! You don’t really love me. You’ve given my people a riddle, but you haven’t told me the answer.” “I haven’t even explained it to my father or mother,” he replied, “so why should I explain it to you?” She cried the whole seven days of the feast. So on the seventh day he finally told her, because she continued to press him. She in turn explained the riddle to her people.

What happened next was a disaster and caused lots of pain and sorrow.

Judges 14:18‭-‬20 NIV

Before sunset on the seventh day the men of the town said to him, “What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?” Samson said to them, “If you had not plowed with my heifer, you would not have solved my riddle.” Then the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. He went down to Ashkelon, struck down thirty of their men, stripped them of everything and gave their clothes to those who had explained the riddle. Burning with anger, he returned to his father’s home. And Samson’s wife was given to one of his companions who had attended him at the feast.

We will end at this point today. Yes as we have said your actions do have consequences. The action we see within the scriptures all could have been avoided if people would have done the right thing.Later today I will go more into detail of the writing but for know remember. Your actions do have consequences either good or bad. I just want to encourage you to do the right thing in the sight of God. He see and knows all. Most of all in a time of conflict and nothing is going right, pray and seek God for the right solution. He will lead you down the right pathway.Another word from
