A new topic for the week When your faith put to the test

When your faith is tested will you stand or fall?

This is the overview of this week’s topic. When your faith is put to test.

This week we will be looking at Abraham, Sarah, Jonah,Samson,Mary the mother of Jesus, king Saul, and others who’s faith was put to test or in question.

They are had a heart for God and wanted to do serve him. Yet some had doubt of what God could do. They put their hand into God’s instruction. While some they had the right heart but their motives wasn’t in the right place. Some even disobey God and went into the opposite direction. Some obey and trusted God until the end. Yes their faith could have been tested, while others made fun of them, yet not knowing it was all the doing of God almighty.

Faith is having the assurance that what ever you are hoping to get will come to pass. Without faith it is impossible to please God. As we look into the upcoming week topic we can be reminded that even people that had a heart and understanding of God messed up. When they did so the price was paid.

What ever the instructions God has give us, either a still small voice from his spirit or just from reading the Bible, we must do as he said. When we act on it by faith God is pleased with us. Knowing we have a heart and love for him. We will see the willingness of other and how they continue on in doing as the was commanded by God, directly or indirectly.

Yes we all mess up at times, but there is no earthly human being that is or was perfect. When we do mess up and not following the command of the Lord, we could have a setback. The people of Israel as they had a setback. A good 40 years in the wilderness because they didn’t trust and have faith in God like they should have. They saw the hand of God moving over them plenty of time. Take the pillar of clouds by day and pillar of for by night. God covered them with the cool of the day and the warmth of the night. God even gave them good to eat but yet they wanted more. People are never satisfied with what God has given them. Even when the walked across the red sea, the land was dry and God proved them the way out of it all. Yet they still didn’t see the move of God over it.

As we will learn this week faith in action. How God is able to work with people. Also we be looking into the down side of going against God’s command.

We will began in Genesis looking at Sarah and how she got involved in what was God instructions. The way she messed up God’s plan and how it came to haunt her.

Remember have faith in God. Do as he has instructed. Never try to go interfer in what God has promised you and do it yourself.

Have a great week and come back and join us.
