A look at Joseph. His time in prison. When he interpreted the dream of the two men

How would you feel if you was in Joseph shoes. Knowing you are your father favorite son. Yet because he told his brother about a dream he had they become to hate him. His brother was going to kill him. One said we can’t kill him, they put Joseph in a pit. While he was in that pit, people was going into Egypt. The brother sold Joseph to that group of people. While in Egypt Joseph was sold and later spent time in Potipher’s house and Joseph had access to all of Potipher household. Potipher wife wanted Joseph so bad, but Joseph was a man that knew what she wanted was wrong for him to do. He refused her advances. She lied on Joseph one day and told her husband he came on to her and try to seduce her.

With all evidence against him, still Joseph was sent to prison being not guilty of a crime. While he was in prison the person in charge trusted Joseph that he was the overseer of the prisoner and things within the prison.

We been on the subject leaving you mark on others. He will come the time that this was true or not. Here how the events unfolded.

The dreams the two men had in prison and Joseph revile the dream to each.

The first dreamer dream was told

When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected. So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?” “We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.” So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, “In my dream I saw a vine in front of me, and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup and put the cup in his hand.” “This is what it means,” Joseph said to him. “The three branches are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer. But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.
Genesis 40:6‭-‬14 NIV

Second dreamer dream was told

When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, “I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread. In the top basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head.” “This is what it means,” Joseph said. “The three baskets are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and impale your body on a pole. And the birds will eat away your flesh.” Now the third day was Pharaoh’s birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials: He restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again put the cup into Pharaoh’s hand— but he impaled the chief baker, just as Joseph had said to them in his interpretation. The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.
Genesis 40:16‭-‬23 NIV

Now with one dead and the other had forgotten about Joseph. How much longer will it be before Joseph be out of prison. Remember God is still working it all out. It may seem a long time but God was holding things back until the right situation would take place. When things come into alignment and God see it’s time His power will been seen and God will get the glory.

The mark Joseph had left on others will soon payoff. God is about to do some great work in his life. The next topic the when you see your dream unfolding before your eyes. God has been working behind the scenes.
