Joseph using wisdom

It’s hard to undue the damage done when a person is accused of a crime that they didn’t commit. This will be on a person for the rest of their life and most likely it will take a long time to get things cleared.

Today topic is be strong don’t fall

When it comes to Joseph he could have fallen from the favor of God over his life, yet it didn’t happened. Potipher wife tried and tried to bring Joseph down but it failed every time.

Today is a start at looking at the the Prince of Egypt. How he was faith to God and man. He knew the danger in crossing the line when it came to the things of Potipher.

So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph’s care; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.

No name given but she was know as Potipher wife.

Now Joseph being young, well built, and handsome. Potipher wife desire to go to bed with him. Many attempt was made on her behalf, but each time Joseph said no. For Joseph was a man of God and he knew if he did would sleep with Potipher wife it would be wrong.

Joseph had standard and moral he knew it was wrong if he had slept with her. Even to the point of her asking him over and over he still refused to do anything wrong that would discredit his faith and trust God.

We see Joseph with great power to resist the temptation. He could have been taunted for days, weeks or months, by Potipher wife. Yet he trusted God in the midst of it all.

Joseph reply to it all was this. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

He knew how to handle his own, he knew not to fall into that trap. How many of us today could stand up to that pressure. Would we fallen within a few days.

Temptation is on every hand, but we must be strong in the power of God. When you find yourself on the hotseat just walk or run the other way.
