Fresh smell of spring

What is in the air

The air we breathe can be good or bad. It could be fresh or stale. Most of us like to smell of fresh air.
The type of air I mean is the fresh morning dew. The smell in the air after the rain. The smell of a house after a paint job. Most of all the wonderful smell of a new car.

Then the smell you don’t like. The skunk, a baby diaper, rotten food or trash. The most awful smell is that of a dead animal. You can smell it for miles away but yet you can’t see it. It could be hit by a car or attack by another animal. Those who live in the country can relate to that.

One other smell is that of the holy Spirit. Sometimes I can sit during my quiet time and a fresh smell comes into the room. I have been told that is the smell of the Holy Spirit. The scent of the Holy Spirit help us to get into a place where God want us to be. We can smell the scent of the holy Spirit at many place not just at home. Mostly at church, or even in a prayer meeting. It smell or scent of the Holy Spirit just does things to us so we can connect with God more real in a personal way.

In my life what I have seen one two people can be in the same room, one can smell the scent of the Holy Spirit, while the other couldn’t. The reason behind this is our oneness with the father and spiritual things. One person might need that special touch and the other don’t.

Just like the air we breathe some take it for granted, but other enjoy the freshness of springtime. People do suffer will sinus, or allergies, but they don’t like the change because they get sick. What I am saying here is the smell of the Holy Spirit comes to bring us joy, warmth and life. It’s one of many God way to let us he still care and loves us. He want to make us aware that he through the Holy Spirit is able to comfort and guide us along the way.

So when we are out and about this coming springtime and a fresh breeze come your way and it touches you soul in a way you don’t understand. Just thank God. You just might gotten a scent or a touch from the Holy Spirit.
