A fresh start to spring. A newness of life

We all have to either walk, drive, or ride bike down the road to get where we are going. Some road are smooth, hilly, bumpy, curvey, but no matter the texture it doesn’t stop us from getting where we are going.

Do you know about the road to heaven. Meaning the road to repentance. Most people call this the Roman road because the scriptures comes from the book of Roman in the Bible.

You could have heard it call the road to salvation. When a person comes to know Christ as their personal Savior and Lord of their life. The reason for this is life everlasting. Not in the physical since but more of a spiritual form.

The road to newness is this

Do people really know the road to repentance? What is the word repentance? This week we will be talking about what does it take to become a follower of Jesus Christ.
I remember as a young child, people confessing Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross for them. Not just that but also believe that God raised Him from the dead.
Three thing happen at that moment. They realize they are a sinner and coming to repentance. Asking God to forgive them of their sins they done against God. Second is a heart changing moment. When Christ touches a persons life or heart there should be a change. Just in book of Acts Saul who later became Paul changed his ways because of Jesus.
Third is confessing. no matter how a person confess Jesus Christ in praying, durning praise, or telling somebody of what Jesus Christ did on the cross and they are in need of a Savior. Not just only confessing Jesus Christ as their Savior. One step further is believing in their heart, not by anyone else but God raised Jesus from the dead.
At that moment they have announced faith in God. They are saying God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit does exist, and the life they now live they will live by faith in the Son of God who love them and gave himself for them Galatians 2:20
First part of road to repentance.
Follow me down this road and received an awakening in your spirit.
If you are in the need of Jesus Christ to be your personal Savior just confess and believe God raised him from the dead. You shall be saved. Roman 10:9.
