As we continue to look into the life of Jesus, we are only being reminded of things that was predicted and did come true as Jesus Christ walked upon the earth.
The Messiah, is one that been chosen to be the deliverer of a nation or a group of people. You can call that person a savior also. When we see Jesus do we see him as another person or as the deliverer. Some don’t think Jesus could be the Messiah,because they are looking for a person with greater power and authority.
As we look at Jesus being the Messiah, he had no greater authority than being part heavenly and earthly. In other words he was from both the heavenly kingdom and earthly kingdom because of the line of David the king.
Point we will be looking at today are these.
Continue with is earthy mission that God sent him to do.
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. John 4:34 NIV.
That was Jesus plan and purpose his mission.
Messiah would bring light to Galilee. Isaiah 9:1-2 Matthew 4:13-16
Messiah would be sent to heal the brokenhearted. Isaiah 61:1-2 Luke 4:18-19
Messiah would be rejected by his own people. Isaiah 53:3 John 1:11
Messiah would be called King. Psalm 2:6 Mark 11:7-11
Messiah would speak in parables. Psalm 78:2-4 Matthew 13:10-15, 34-35
Messiah would be praised by little children. Psalm 8:2 Matt.21:16
Messiah would be a priest after the order of Melchizedek. Psalm 110:4 Hebrews 5:5-6
The fact is those thing written in the old testament came true in the new.
Without being long the mission of Jesus was to die for the world to be the ransom for sin inorder for people could get back into the right relationship with God. Those thing listed above is what he would go through as being the Messiah.
He did come to be the light of the world, in spite of being rejected by his own. He was know to some as the king the Messiah to take help the brokenhearted. As we continue he also loved on everyone even the kids gave him praise. If we read any of the gospel, one thing we will see Jesus speaking in parables. It s story telling to get a point across. Many truth about Christ that was foretold in the Old Testament came true in the New Testament.
Those things was written for a reason to one day there will be a Messiah, and the Messiah came as it was told.
We will continue next time with the betrayal and trail upon the life of Jesus in order for people to get back to God.
