God led me to go deeper in the claim why Jesus said he was and is the Messiah. John 4:25-26.
Why did Jesus claim to be the Messiah?
What rights did Jesus have to state his claim on being the Messiah
How do know that Jesus claim is true?
How can we validate these things and how we can know that other who claim to be the Messiah is false or the Christ?
When we have our car serviced there are check point the mechanic check off to see if the car meets the requirements.
So if that can be the case, here is why we can look into the life of Jesus, to see why he claim to be the Messiah.
HIS BIRTH PLACE
Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans[a] of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Micah 5:2
Luke 2:4-6 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
Messiah would be born of a virgin. Also called Immanuel.

Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”)

As the Old Testament predicted. The New Testament fulfilled it
Jesus would come from the line of David through the tribe of Judah by the way of Jacob, Issac and Abraham.

For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
The fulfillment

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ”

16As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
