Be lead into the right things

I remember as I was in camp they always told us to follower the leader. The leader was the counselor of the camp. In heart and mind he or she was in authority, and I knew they would not lead us astray. We had to stay on that pathway. Not only was there a person leading us but also a person who was the one at the end of the line just to make sure everyone follows the leader. As time went on I began to see how that played out in everyday situations, but mostly when it came to God.

In the book of Proverbs it tell us a lot about thing we need to do and how we need to do them. In chapter 3 it just remind me of these simple points.

As we follow the leader, and as we follow the leader make sure we are going down the right path.

Point one is. Don’t forget God’s teaching and command because they can prolong your years. Also you have peace and prosperity.

Second point is let the Lord guide you. Don’t be wise with your own eye thinking you have came this far on your own strength, but we have to acknowledge and trust God for all thing. He is the one that can lead us down the right pathway.

Third thing is give unto God what is due to him. Not the last of what you have made. God want the first of your fruits. Once we apply this principal we will have more than enough to substain us.

Finally as we seek wisdom these things being wise will do for us as we follow God and do as he commands.

1. Long life is in your hand.

2. You will have honor

3. With wisdom peace is at the forefront and to have wisdom is to walk in the right path.

4 Don’t let Godly wisdom and understanding out of your sight. Let them be something you can use all the days of your life. Keep them close to you like a tie around your neck. By doing this you will as you live your life you will walk in safety and won’t fall into the evil scheme of people.

Last thing is this continue to find wisdom, continue after those things that are right in the sight of God. When we do we won’t be lead astray.

As in camp we had to follow the leader the person who was over the camp. So it is in our spiritual walk follow those things God has set out before us and lean not on our understanding, but trust God in everything we do.
