For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. Christmas mark the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. For some that day brings unspeakable joy, gladness. Sometimes it brings out the best of people. It is a joyful time of year.
The story of Christ didn’t stop there. For a length of time Mary, Joseph, and Jesus spent time in Egypt. They was there until God sent them back to Nazareth. After the birth of Christ it wasn’t all rose pedal.
The truth of it all people was mocking him, making remarks about him. They wanted to kill long before he died for the world. We notice that because of what Herod did. He had all the male baby 2 years of age and younger killed in that region because of Jesus birth.
The joy that Jesus brought the wise men, as well as the shepherds we can experience it also. Guess what we can experience it in a way that never did. Since the death of CHRIST on the cross we can walk into his likeness, we can walk into his image. The reason why is because of the cross.
When a person comes to see Christ for who he really is it a greatness that overwhelmed that person. With that same warmth we have the love of God inside. All we need realize Christ birth changed the lives of a few but his death is continuing changing the life of the world.
Greater joy, love, peace, and happiness other can show. Just as the shepherds heard what was told by Mary and saw the sight, they left rejoicing. When we meet Jesus for first time there should be a change with us. That change should continue to effect everything we do and say. To be totally sold out to CHRIST is living him no matter what.
From the birth to the cross it had had an impact on others. Both working hand in hand gives us something to ponder on. That is everlasting life through Jesus Christ the Savior of the world.
