When it comes to what Jesus said about himself this statement to me is one of the best.
As Jesus was talking to Martha here is what he said.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 NIV
Let’s start from his ending question. He ask Martha do she believes He is the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in him will live. The question is now pointed to you. Do you believe this.
The truth to all of this is one must come to know Christ and believe that he is who he said he is. Many forget the fact how Christ can resurrection your life. We may be walking around in sin, but once we see and believe the truth of Christ, we become alive to him and the things of God. Christ gives us the resurrection in our natural man inorder for our spiritual man can be awaken.
We can have a wonderful life by listening at the instructions of God. The Bible is the believers blueprint or the manual they need to live a life worthy of God.
When Jesus said he is the resurrection and life, it tell us that no matter what it may look like, if we believe in him things will change for the better. In Christ is life and freedom. We can have the hope, victory, knowing God us able. We have to understand that the believers in Christ will rise again. Those who have died in Christ will have a resurrected body, when Christ return.
What Christ is proclaiming here is that no other can give you life than Jesus himself. Christ can resurrect things that have been lying dormant in your life that God has put in you to live by.
Finally we must believe and receive Christ inorder to have the life he want you to have.
