Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 6:29, 35-38 KJV
What is life about. Why was we created. What is our purpose in life. One thing Jesus said he was he to do the work of the Father. Jesus purpose was to die on the cross. His death on the cross was the way people could get back into the right relationship with God. Jesus want us to believe on God. Who is the creater of the world. It is through Jesus Christ we can have life.
Jesus made some key points about his life. He have said he is and not was. The present tense of who he is. The bread of life. Also in other verse Jesus call himself the living water. Jesus will us to do the will of God.
There are some good point Jesus said here. He said he is the bread of life. They that come to him will never hunger again and those who believe on me will never thirst. Two thing we see here come and believe. We have to come to Jesus and believe on him.
God created man for relationship with him. When man decided to go against God that relationship was broken in since of what God purpose was. God sent Jesus as the ransom, or to pay the price of what men did out of disobedience. When we come to believe on God, knowing how he sent Jesus to die on the cross our relationship with God is restored. One thing we must realize just believing is not enough. There should be a longing to follow those things of God. What Jesus said come and believe. It’s a continual process. Just like in a relationship we must spend personal time with that person to know them. So as we come to Christ and knowing who God is we must continue that relationship with both.
As we continue to spend time with God and believe on Jesus, he will not cast us out. Even if we fall Christ will continue to be with us. We must ask for forgiveness, but be reminded we have to walk in the light of Christ.
Our real purpose in life is to have the right relationship with God. Each person goes through different things in life and each person may have a different experience with God. One thing we must realize God plan is meant for everyone. The death of Christ on the cross is for everyone to come into a relationship with God. Salvation comes by the way of the cross.
Again we must understand it’s not just a Sunday service time for God but an everyday experience with him. How are you spending your week. Each day in devotion with God and Jesus or just one day. It’s an everyday experience
