WHAT DOES THESE TWO THINGS HAVE IN COMMON?
We have heard this saying a lot but mostly when it comes to the new year.
It’s a new day and it’s a new me.
Do you know this could be a fact. When we start off a new day after sleeping for so many hours our body does more than you think. While we are asleep all of our body system still are working but at a slower rate of speed than if we are awake. In other words when a person is asleep they are basically getting recharged. think about this for a moment. Our body is almost like a battery. The more we use it the more it will drain. For we use batteries everyday but if you leave the flashlight on the battery will drain and die. Some battery you can recharge but yet over a period of years their cells will no longer hold the charge. Then you have to throw the battery away.
Here is truth about the life of a battery and a persons life. Have you ever got to the point you say I am so drained and tired. I just need some rest or sleep. You go to sleep for about 5 hours and you feel so refreshed and renewed. You say I fell like a new person so alive and awake. Now think of this if you never pictured it before.
What happens to a cell phone battery if you leave the cell phone on. Of course you will say the battery will die or get low, when you leave it off the charger, and its on standby. In other words it’s on but no power is being use. They say you can save your battery that way.
With us we don’t operate that way we are always on the go and never a down moment to relax. Some do have a down moment and they can relax for a few.
For some they charge their cell phone battery over night as they are sleeping Let’s be careful don’t charge your cell phone on the bed or under the pillow. That could be dangerous or deadly. Do you know at the same time you are charging your battery of the phone, your body is recharging itself. You are resting but yet charging at the same time.
Yes just like the phone is charging, everything is running under the hood of the phone, because when you decide to hit a button it comes right on. So it is with us. We maybe in a state of rest but yet all of our body parts are working at a lower rate of speed. The brain and the heart still working. Our mind is still producing. Our vital organs are working.
Once the alarm clock goes off. It could be the external or the internal alarm, we wake up and greet the light of day or whatever time it is. How do you feel at this point. I mean those days when you automatic wake up. Those are the day you say wow I feel like a new person, so well relax and full of energy.
Just like the battery on the phone overnight it was charging and now it got full power. You now have full power or energy to face a new day. A new you because you have rested and now feeling better than before.
The topic is a new day a new you. How did we get to this point it is because of resting or sleeping. Taking time out to give your body to recharge. Just as our physical body need it our spiritual body need it also.
We just need to take time out to rest in God. Allow him to recharge us in our spirit. Rest assured in him. Read and study the word so our mind can be renewed in Him. As the battery get recharged by the electric power that flows through the line. We pull our spiritual power from God by doing and trusting in Him. Romans 12:1-2 talks about having a renewed mind. The Bible is filled with scriptures of how we need to rest in God. How God can give us the right spirit that is in him. Jesus can and will give us the rest we need. He will be able to help us through the storm and the rain.
The new day and the new you comes every morning just as the dew comes in during the overnight or in the morning. It just refreshes everything and the smell is so wonderful. Christ also can give you a new day and a new you.
The Bible says for those who are in Christ is a new creature the old has gone and everything become new.
The scripture reads as follows
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
So in conclusion, just know each day it’s a new day. Each day it’s a new you we have put off the old and taken on the new. We been refreshed and renewed. Our body has made a recovery overnight. Since it has touch our physical body why not the a spiritual body as well.
On a footnote the eyes detox itself overnight. If any type of dust or pollen gets into the eyes during the day, while we are sleeping this take place. The eyes has its own cleaning system. It takes out the unwanted stuff through our glands. That is why some wake up with sleep in our eyes. Sleep can be wet or dry. It’s a way for the eyes to detox the unwanted stuffed in them.
