This picture is an example of what fear can do to us. Fear brings about several things in us. It brings about doubt, we loose focus on things, it cause problem in everyday life. Prevent us from walking into a total person in God.
The key verse for today is this
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Colossians 3:1-2 NIV
When we allow fear to come to control us it will at time cause people to doubt the truth. For some people don’t like to take the public transportation. They are fearful of those who they might encounter. They could be afraid of germs,or being in a close in area. Yes people may fear these things, but as a believer in Christ out focus shouldn’t be on that fear because God will watch over us all.
We who let fear to grip our mind loose focus on things in life. As a believer in Christ the focal point is on Christ or things above. When we have fear or doubt it will take the focus of Christ and onto the situation good or bad. We begin to get anxious, having a breakdown because of that fear.
Fear is being frighten about something. Having anxiety over things that worries you.
God want us to know is fear is a trick from the enemy to get you off track. As we fear it does something to us emotionally and psychologically. It just hinders us to touch bases with the real world and ourselves. When we get to the point we prefer to stay inside on a nice day because we don’t want to be bothered by things,or people that is a bad sign of fear. It is now controlling us.
In the above text tells us if Christ is in your life our heart and mind should be focus on things about. How can it be if you have fear. Two key words are mind and heart. Most of our thinking comes from the mind and it is with the heart we move toward that something. So if we let fear come in and cloud our mind then our heart won’t be able to go forth and do what God has for us to do.
For those who are not a believer just know this. God is able to work on you and able to take the fear out of your life, but first we must believe he us able to do it.
Just like the picture above something is blocking the moon from shining all the way through, but yet the outer part is shining around and about. That is how fear works it blocks the our view of things but yet their is still a ray of light shining through.
To all never let fear grip our life to the point it is controlling us. Allow God to help you with it by focus on him and those thing he had to offer. A right mind, a right heart, a right soul, a right spirit. You notice I didn’t say perfect in all of these things because we never will be perfect on earth. Once we have the right mind and gave faith, no fear or doubt, then things will look up.
Just keep looking up to God and if your mind is cloudy and fear is a controlling factor never forget, you can control fear by switching channel. To the point now you are controlling fear by the faith in God.
