And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Matthew 9:20-22 KJV
What a testimony! What a miracle! What a statement! We have to look at the entire picture and see what is going on.
The power behind faith, or belief in action. A woman was made whole or she received her transformation. The woman had some health issues. She knew Jesus was coming to town. The only thing she wanted to touch the hem of his garment. She had the faith, and put it into action. Jesus didn’t touch, laid hand, or spoke to her at the point of contact. Some passage of scripture said he felt the virtue being released out of Him.
When we have that much faith, knowing just touching the hem, a piece of fabric of clothing, will make us whole. The fact was she knew who Jesus is, and could have heard about the miracles he was doing. All of this can be summed up by saying faith comes from doing and acting. She acted on what she thinking.
Jesus responded by saying this, My daughter be of good comfort, your faith has made you whole. Jesus said it by letting her know two things. Be of good comfort. This could be taken lots of ways, but I could see this as being just rest assured by your faith in me you will now be in comfort. In other words she no longer had that issue. The miracle happened and she was healed and the life she knew of because of the bleeding was no more. The second thing it said the woman was made whole at that hour. Yes if we totally have a heart and belief like the woman we can be made whole in the same hour.
All of the teaching this week is on miracles. When miracles happens people will see it. They know it only can be from God. Therefore God gets the glory and praise from it, not man. We saw this woman life being transformed. The healing back to a normal state. No issue of blood.
Have Jesus transformed your life. Are you looking for a way out of something. The miracle are there for you. Just by asking and believing that God can do it for you. God is the healer, God has the power, to do a thing in your life. Can you say you have that kind of faith as the woman. She acted out, because she knew who Jesus is and the power that was on him.
When we are opened to the truth and know what God really can do and offer us than we would drop everything and praise him for any victory in our lives. Remember miracles happens for a reason and a purpose.
The next topic will be receive your miracle today. Jesus is able to do it in your life, are you ready for it. An open heart, mind and spirit to the things of God will cause a transformation in your life. It there for you by faith.
