Today study focus on the fact God is able to do things in our life that nobody else can do. Jesus Christ went around healing people from their infirmities. Not just Jesus but the apostles did as well. Later this week we will see one miracle of Jesus that went beyond the human scope of things. His first miracle turning water to wine.
In the book of Acts we see a man, lame from birth, at the gate called beautiful. He was asking for money to help him out. Peter and John saw that man and they said silver and gold have I none but in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
The transformation is now taking place in his life. Let’s read what the scriptures said from this point.
And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. Acts 3:7-10 KJV
The transformation here was his feet and ankles was being transformed. In other words they were gaining strength so he could walk.
When you look at what is being done here God power is being manifested. To the point miracle was done that day. Not just that people saw and believed. The man just wasn’t walking into the house of prayer but leaping and jumping. When we receive the supernatural touch from God, knowing where we came from, that is the reason to give him the praise, glory and honor.
Those who is around this man knew it was the same guy who was at the gate, whom since birth wasn’t able to walk. It was the transformation in this person life and the people was amazed and wonder at what happen.
Today God still work in the supernatural. His miracles come in many form. Yet since we are not looking at it from a spiritual stand point we are unable to see those signs and wonders of a person life who has been transformed by God.
pt 2 continues
The wonderful work of God. His mighty blessing that comes forth is great. We understand all that Jesus did, as God worked through Him. If we can say salvation comes because of what was done at the cross then why not say miracles still happens today. We are living in the church age and are we who have been saved are called the church. The miracles that the apostles did was to show them the power of God. Since God hasn’t changed, why not believe in the power of miracles, signs, and wonders.
The truth to it all, people are transformed because of Christ. Their lifestyle is different, they don’t do what they once did. Healing do take place and deliverance also but we have to be open to these things to see God’s hand in them.
Remember, when a person life is transformed by the miracle act of God, it will show in the person and it will effect those around him in a way that they know it’s from God.
The miracles that God did through Jesus, it only concludes we can be transformed from darkness to light. We can be transformed in our thinking, and we can be transformed physically by having the faith and trust in God to do the work
God is in control.
