Today is the final teaching on investing in God what will be your reward. The Bible verse that deals with it all is Luke 6:38 for it reads as Jesus spoke the word.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.Luke 6:38 KJV
For this verse we can conclude if we give, it shall be given unto you. We don’t know what it is but whatever it is Jesus said this. From this we now know why Abram was a very rich man because he followed after God and understood those things of God at this time.
Now let look at Abram at the age of 99 years old and the promise God continued to assure him. Remember at the age of 75 we see the first promise God told Abram in Genesis Chapter 12 verse 2.
Well in Genesis 17 we see what happened between God and Abram.
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.Genesis 17:1-9 KJV.
We see a lot going on in the above verses but now the agreement between God and Abram has been sealed. The reason behind this is the name change from Abram to Abraham. From one generation to the next mighty Kings will come out of your. All Abraham had to do is to continue to follow God and his ways. Do those things God had for him to do. Many more challenges Abraham has to face but for the long run he continued to follow God and invest in all that God told him to do and the blessings kept on flowing.
We may not understand it all but as we continue to do what God put on us to do, two things will take place we will be blessed and those who God is sending us to will be blessed as well. It like this we are doing it because God told us and it shouldn’t be about what can I get out of it. It’s all about how the world can be changed because of God working through you.
Yes investing in God and coming to know Jesus Christ is the best thing that could ever happened to anyone,because our reward not only is earthly but heavenly. Continue to invest your time, energy, gifting unto God and he will reward you in many area of your life that you won’t understand. Don’t just serve God by looking for a reward but serve him in a way that you will be the reward to others as God use you.
